Core Business

The water supplied to consumers has been processed and treated before distribution. Rain that falls into the dams or rivers flows to the water intake where it will be pumped to the water treatment plant. Here, the raw water is treated by going through the process of aeration, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection and conditioning. The treated water that is already safe for drinking will then be pumped to the balancing reservoirs before being distributed to service reservoirs. In cases where the service reservoirs are high or distant, a booster pumping system is used. From here, water is then supplied to consumers.

SYABAS currently supplies treated water to over 7 million consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya.
